July Meeting

Our July meeting is this Thursday, July 17th. We have two presentations booked for this month's meeting:

Easy Cheesey Panoramic, Val Head
If you've been put off by the complex looking code behind Papervision3D examples, this presentation is for you. Val will show how much the easier it is to work with Papervision3D now that the BasicView class is around. She'll walk you through building a simple panoramic with a whole lot less code than you'd expect.

Development++, John Kramer
With the zillions of firefox add-ons out there, how do you know which ones are worth your time? Kramer will give you his list of useful add-on tools, both for Flash and Web development.

June Meeting

Our June meeting is this Thursday, June 19th. We have two presentations planned for this month's meeting:

Code for the Future: Compiling Flash 10 code with terminal and the Flex 3 SDK, Ben Pritchard
Does that sound hard and confusing? It's really not. Ben will show you how to pull off publishing code for the beta Flash 10 player. Now you can play with cool Flash 10 things like 3D space without waiting for the public beta of the Flash 10 IDE.

Making Flash CS3 Skinnier, Wayne Lincoln
Need a custom video player right this second? Wayne will demo how easy it is to skin the FLVPlayback component's controls and have a custom video player in no time at all.

Software Giveaway this Month!

That's right, the bi-annual software drawing is upon us again. We will be holding a drawing for CS3 software suite of your choice*. Drawing will be from the last six months of meeting sign-ins and you must be present to win.

Showing up for this week's meeting will also get you on the list for the next software drawing. That makes it even more worth it to come out.

*Master Suite is not one of the options, but everything else is fair game. You get to pick!
